Blind channel identification using RLS method based on second-order statistics

چکیده
In this paper, we show a new blind identi cation algorithm which is based on second order statistics and exploits a Single-Input Double-Output(SIDO) model. It is suitable for a real-time processing system because of lower operation and high-speed convergence. The proposed blind identi cation algorithm is superior to conventional algorithms in view of simple structure and the uniqueness of solution. We also verify its e ciency by computer simulation.

An Approach to Blind Deconvolution Based on Second-order “soft” Statistics
In this paper we present a new blind equalizer that achieves identification of a channel by exploiting only second-order statistics of the observations. The novelty of the proposed approach is that the receiver accomplishes channel identification by using soft-statistics; roughly speaking, it consists of an Abend-Fritchman type [11] Maximum A Posteriori (MAP) equalizer that feeds a nonlinear Ka...
متن کاملA New Beamforming Method Using Second Order Statistics-based Blind Channel Identification
AbstractThis paper proposes a new beamforming method, which calculates and adjusts the weights of adaptive antenna array elements using second order statistics-based blind channel identification. We show the performance of the proposed system in a static two-ray multipath channel encountered in indoor wireless environments, and discuss the attainable bit error rate (BER) in comparison with some...
متن کاملA blind multichannel identification algorithm robust to order overestimation
Active research in blind single input multiple output (SIMO) channel identification has led to a variety of second-order statistics-based algorithms, particularly the subspace (SS) and the linear prediction (LP) approaches. The SS algorithm shows good performance when the channel output is corrupted by noise and available for a finite time duration. However, its performance is subject to exact ...
متن کاملBlind channel identification based on second-order statistics: a frequency-domain approach
In this communication, necessary and sufficient conditions are presented for the unique blind identification of possibly nonminimum phase channels driven by cyclostationary processes. Using a frequencydomain formulation, it is first shown that a channel can be identified by the second-order statistics of the observation if and only if the channel transfer function does not have special uniforml...
متن کاملPrediction-based adaptive blind equalization: a performance study
Blind equalization of a communication channel using a predictionbased Lattice Blind Equalizer (LBE) is considered. Second order cyclostationary statistics and a single-input multiple-output model arising from fractional sampling of the received data are used. The performance of the LBE algorithm is studied in extensive simulations where commonly used example channels are employed. Convergence i...
